Every Thursday night, at a cute lil' boozer on the Hackney edge of Victoria Park is 'Ladies Night' which these days = cocktails, cakes and vintage.

If you’re looking for a nice little old fashioned pub to meet up with your gal pals on a Thursday night then I can recommend The Kenton in Hackney. Go straight from work and you can have a pie ‘n’ mash dinner, cut price cocktails and the obligatory cupcake. Best of all? In the corner you’ll find Jo and friends with a good selection of jumble fun with jumble price tags to match. I was tempted by a Hawaiian jump suit, but I think I’d had one cocktail too many…
