I had such a fun day yesterday! I love selling online and the freedom that brings but I do miss my bricks and mortar shop sometimes and the happy smiling faces of gals ‘n guys when they spot something they love. So I decided to open up my studio yesterday and sell off all remaining website stock and lots of other bits and pieces at very pleasing prices. It was lovely to see so many familiar faces and also meet new folk. If you missed it, fear not! I am opening up again for one last day and that’s tomorrow; Saturday 22nd December from 10am to 6pm. There’s lots of ace stuff still to be claimed and I’m going to dig out a few more pieces. My address is Vittoria Wharf, 10 Stour Road, London E3 2NT. The nearest station is Hackney Wick Overground. My building is behind the green gates with a yellow toadstool on the roof!
Further info and sneak peek photos on the Facebook event page.
I’m opening up my studio to one and all this Thursday 20th from 5pm til 9pm and then again on Saturday 22nd from 2pm til 6pm. I’ll be selling everything from the website plus many more vintage finds and all at very pleasing prices. If you’d like to pop in another time, email me and let’s see if we can arrange something leona@thrift-ola.com. My address is: Vittoria Wharf, 10 Stour rd, London E3 2NT. My building is behind the green gates with the yellow toadstool on the roof! There is limited free parking in my yard and the closest station is Hackney Wick Overground. I’ll be posting some sneak peeks on the facebook event page on Wednesday night. Hope to see lots of you thrifty folk!
I run Thrift-ola from a small warehouse unit in Hackney Wick and have been thrifting a-go-go for the past few months to fill my online shoppe with all kinds of super fun second hand finds ready for Christmas! Not everything makes it onto the website though, reasons for this include items that don’t photograph very well, maybe they’re too large/heavy/awkward to post or I feel someone should really see it in person before buying. I’m also generally behind with uploading stock as I have just started freelancing for Vintage again and am co-ordinating & curating some really exciting events for 2012. Continue reading »
My friend recently moved to the cute cobbled streets of Belfast Road and I was more than happy to visit him on the day it was celebrating it’s annual street sale. With a 5am car boot sale already under my belt that morning, I popped along with some spare change, an empty laundry bag and the will to stay awake. Continue reading »
Whilst I absolutely love buying someone else’s cast offs at a car boot sale I know it’s no fun at all to sell at a boot fair. Kilburn Car boot, 1999 – never again. So how very civilised to set up shop in your own front room and promote online. I’ve been invited to quite a few recently and was most miffed to miss out on the sale held by the visual merchandise girl from Beyond Retro a few weeks ago. Bah! Continue reading »
